Actually Jeff, in reviewing the review,,,,  "less than historically accurate"
is quite charitable on your side.  I guess ICANN has been around long enough to
rewrite history.

Heidi and all,

It would be much better if you had pointed these "Newbies" to the archives of
the previous
WG's in which the discussions and debates regarding Whois.  Spoon feeding them
less
tha historically accurate information in such an Audio Briefing will more than
likely serve
to confuse them and leave them with a false impression or perhaps conclusion(s)
regarding
Whois.

Dear All,

As a follow up to the announcement of the Whois Webinars with Steve Sheng
scheduled for Tuesday, 20 April 2010. 17:00 UTC and Tuesday, 4 May 2010, 06:00
UTC, the message below is being sent on behalf of Scott Pinzon, Director of
Policy Communications:

At the end of March, Steve Sheng and I recorded an interview where he provides
a “newbie’s” guide to Whois issues, and sets context for why the Whois
Requirements Inventory paper is significant. I will announce the posting in the
corporate blog.

If you know of audiences who would like to join the discussion on Whois but
need a reminder of what’s already been discussed in the last ten years,
consider pointing them toward the briefing. The Whois report (linked right next
to the briefing) is perfect for them, and the interview might make the learning
curve slightly less steep.
