At-Large Advisory Committee Submits At-Large Community Views on RAA Negotiation to ICANN Board

Date

On August 8, the At-Large Advisory Committee communicated to the Board of Directors of ICANN the consensus position of the At-Large community on the changes that it proposes be made to the Registrar Accreditation Agreement ("RAA").

This statement was the first product of a inter-regional working group structure implemented beginning earlier in 2007 which facilitates all interested members of the community to collaborate in the development of policy positions in a truly bottom-up mechanism incorporating individual ALSes, RALO leaders, and the ALAC members themselves.

The statement may be read in full in the attached, http://www.atlarge.icann.org/files/atlarge/alac-raa-revision-statement-13sep07.pdf [PDF, 141K]. The Board of Directors is scheduled to discuss the statement during the Public Board meeting on 2nd November 2007.
